All inclusive solution
Who has not got hot water — well 70% of most companies work force don’t, and all RDP houses don’t
They need to boil a couple of kettles to sponge themselves down before going to work.
If we wake up in the morning and find that the power had gone off during the night and do not have hot water, we jump into the car and go down to the local Gym for a shower. That’s how dependant we have become on hot water … a basic need
What to do about it??
What most of us don’t realize is that all the RDP houses you see just have one power point and one cold water tap to feed the whole house, no lights, ceilings or hot water. In fact a normal geyser cannot be installed as only 10-20 amps of power is fed into the house and everything from the lights, stove, fridge ,TV, heaters and kettles must run from this, and solar is just to expensive to install.
When you view the video you will see 2 boys in the bath, this is the first bath they have ever had and we battled to get them out.
We are appealing to companies, to give their staff bathrooms and corparates to sponsor townships. A 700 unit township will cost under a million, media coverage will more that justify the cost. Let them have this basic need of bathing in hot water. It forms part of the companies social responsibility and the rewards are that the workers will have an improved quality of life.
Do a short survey in the area - ask who has hot water in their homes and you will be shocked to hear that 70% don’t. This is something we take for granted.
Come on board and help us make this happen. A bathroom can be installed for R1750. We will train installers thus creating jobs .
This all for the cost of a business lunch …..
What will the lasting experience be …. The lunch or the bathroom
